Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Jul 14: Sea erosion has continued its devastation in Ullal this year also.

A house belonging to Aliyabba was completely destroyed in Mukkacherry, Ullal on Friday night, July 13. The house was partly damaged due to tidal waves, part of Ockhi cyclone in November 2017.

Waves of gigantic proportion were seen lashing at Someshwar, Uchila and Mukkacherry on Saturday July 14, intensifying sea erosion.

Santhosh, probationary assistant commissioner and other senior government officials have taken stock of the situation.

Three other houses are in fear of sea erosion.

Residential houses should be built certain distance from the sea side or river side.......he built it illegaly.... government should not give permission to built at the bank of sea or river.........now he is only responsible for this......
There are many houses built by occupying sea area and river area......by bribing the authorities..... .. both house owner and the person who give them the permission to built house must penalise...

True. But if tetrapods are installed its a permanent solution and seen as a worldwide practice to protect shoes...then how contractors and babus can make money by poring boulders???? It can save ten years maintenance cost in couple of years!!

Gentle men if tetra pods are put on the shoreline, then that will indeed be a permanent solution. Anything offering a permanent solution, will definitely be a cause of concern for the politician & contractors as that will indeed wind up their source of moolah coming in.
