Mangaluru, Sep 25: A court here has rejected anticipatory bail applications moved by four persons from Sullia taluk in connection with the murder of noted journalist, Gauri Lankesh at Bengaluru.
The applications had been filed by Mohan from Chantala, Sullia, Yatish M from Mogra in Donithalla, Yatin B from Kollamogra and Kumudaksha from Jalumane, Madappady.
These four had been served with notice by the special investigation team handling the above murder case to present before it for investigation on July 27. As they apprehended arrest, they had moved anticipatory bail applications in the court on August 7. Judge of the court, Sharada, however, upheld the public prosecutor's request that anticipatory bail applications should not be entertained at this stage of the investigation.
