Mangaluru: Foundation stone laying ceremony held for houses for poor

Mangaluru, Sep 30: Foundation stone laying ceremony for 5 new houses for poor families by United Friends Association took place at Nadumane, Paldane on Sunday, September 30.

Each house will cost up to Rs 5 lac. Two Christian, two Hindu and one protestant family will be the beneficiaries. Land of 15 cents was donated by Charles D’Mello of Paldane.

Fr Prakash D’Cunha of Infant Jesus Shrine offered prayer. Mayor Bhaskar Moily was the chief guest. Alban Menezes, president of United Christians Association and others participated in the programme.
