Bantwal: Man injured when welding petrol tanker succumbs

Bantwal, Oct 5: A person who had suffered serious injuries when welding a spot in petrol tanker to prevent leakage after the tanker suddenly exploded, breathed his last on the night of Wednesday October 3 in a private hospital.

Suresh Kulal (45), resident of Kamaje, lost his life in this incident. He was working as welder for a private welding shop at Mangaluru since the last many years. On Friday last, he was undertaking welding work after scaling the tanker to prevent leakage, when the tanker suddenly exploded due to technical issues. While Kulal suffered critical injuries in this incident, four others had suffered minor injuries.

The injured had been admitted into a private hospital at Mangaluru. Suresh, whose nature of injuries was grave, succumbed to injuries late night on Wednesday. He is survived by wife and two daughters.
