Bahrain, Nov 14: Chief minister B.S Yeddyuurappa, medical education minister Ramchandra Gowda, panchayatraj and rural development minister Shobha Karandlaje visited Kannada Sangha premises along with delegates of Karnataka government, Indian Ambassador Balakrishna Shetty, Karkala MLA Gopal Bhandary. U Satish Pai and Sandhya Pai of Manipal Media Network Ltd. later joined the dignitaries at the premises.
Austin Santhosh briefed them about Sangha's history from 1977 and also informed them about 2002 Karnataka Rajyosthava Award to the Sangha from the Karnataka government. Balakrishna Shetty also informed chief minister and other delegates about Sangha’s activities and requested chief minister to promote Sangha’s activities in Karnataka.
Later chief minister with all invited dignitaries visited art gallery, library and cultural hall. Chief minister and all the dignitaries were very much impressed about the activities of Kannada Sangha and wished Sangha a bright future.
As the time was running short, all the dignitaries left the Sangha premises. They are expected to arrive at Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam's Daimond Jubille Hall at Sagayya for ‘Kannada Vaibhava-2008' at 4 pm.
