Bantwal, Nov 7: ICYM Bantwal in association with Kavita Trust organised a Konkani poetry recital competition On November 4 at Modankap school hall.

Sunil Lewis, animator of ICYM Bantwal compered the inauguration.

Melyvn Rodrigues, founder president of Kavita Trust addressed the audience on the importance of Konkani language, its growth and read out the rules and regulations of the competition.

The competition was conducted in two categories namely below 15 years and above 15 years. Around 30 participants participated. Andrew L Dcunha, Averyl Rodrigues and Stany Bela judged the event.



On behalf of the judges, Andrew congratulated all the participants and appreciated their parents for their encouragement. Fr Ashwin L Crasta, assistant parish priest, Bantwal church gave away the certificates to the participants and addressed the gathering. Anisha Frank delivered the vote of thanks. ICYM president Avinash Dsouza and Secretary Annet Dsouza monitored the event.
