Kundapur, Nov 20: Anagalli is shaping into a unique pilgrimage center in the state of Karnataka. Sages and saints from different parts of the country will regularly visit this place in future. This holy center in which everyone, regardless of caste or creed, can touch and venerate the idol of God will open to the public on December 18.

Anagalli is a land with abundant natural beauty. This village which was famous as Gajapur, will be a renowned place. This land, which is a mixture of plains and rivers will be a pilgrimage center in future. This center which was the proof for several religious miracles for hundreds of years, was buried under the earth. Now it will be resurrected.

It is a real surprise that the power was visible to the family of Subhash Poojary, which is living in the vicinity of Hebbarabettu in Anagalli, which is considered as a holy land of ancient times. When the family approached famous astrologer Tattuvattu Vidwan Vasudev Joisa to find the meaning of their dreams through Ashtamangala Prashne, the history of the place came to light little by little. This land is holy on which sages and saints walked and prayed hundreds of years ago. As it came to light that this place was the praying point of Shri Adhishakti and Dakshina Bhadrakalai Devi, it was decided to consecrate the idols of these Shakti Goddesses.

Last year the Naga Sadhus who had come for the inauguration of nearby Chikkamma temple had selected this place for their stay and had installed their flag. Incidentally, during the Ashtamanagala Prashne also it came to light that this place was the holy land of penance of sages and veneration place of goddesses.

Subhash Poojary, who thought of rebuilding this place as the land of penance, made a decision to establish Shri Dattashrama and Shri Adhishakti. The construction of the math was started in a unique sculptural style. Now the spacious math is ready within a short time. Shri Vinaya Guruji of Gaurigadde in Chikkamagalur district, who is considered as the Avadhoota of present times, visited the place twice and gave his guidance.

The construction work of Dattashrama Shri Adhishakti Math is in the final stages. This ashram can accomodate around 500 babas. It has a kitchen, place for meditation, toilets and separate accomodation facility for women saints. Every devotee can touch the idol and perform puja in this center, which is the intention of Shri Vinay Guruji. There is no system of providing receipt for the offering from the devotees. The devotees can bring things which they would like to offer to the idols.

On December 18, the consecration of the idol of Bhagawan Dattatreya and the opening of the Dattashrama for public will be held under the guidance of Avadhoota Vinay Guruji. The religious meeting will be held from 12 noon that day. More than 500 Naga sadhus and saints from places like Ujjain, Girnar, Ayodhya, Nasik and Kamakya will participate in the ceremony. The idol of Shri Dattatreya is made of milky light and will arrive from Rajasthan. On the night of consecration a public yajna will be conducted by Babas.
