Mangaluru: New office bearers for FOCUS elected

Mangaluru, Nov 23: The general body meeting of FOCUS, the Forum of Christians United Services, an organisation of Christian government employees and contractors/engineers was recently held in Hotel Woodlands.

On this occasion, the president of the forum, Pradeep D’Souza, the deputy director of Sports and Youth Affairs, DK district, stressed the need for organising the Christian government employees so that they can serve the society in a better way and also to co-ordinate with all departments so that poor and marginalized in the society can be benefitted.

Secretary John D’Souza, assistant engineer, MESCOM, presented the report and the treasurer Alwyn Kotian, accounts officer, MESCOM, presented the annual accounts.

For 2019-20, following new office bearers were elected:

President: Peus D’Souza, accounts officer, MESCOM
Vice-president: Richard D’Souza, junior engineer, Mangalore City Corporation
Secretary: Denita D’Souza, assistant engineer, MESCOM
Convener: Sushil Noronha, engineer/contractor
Treasurer: Melwyn D’Souza, senior assistant, MESCOM
Oragnising secretary: Cyril Robert D’Souza, SDC, Horticulture department
Executive committee: Pradeep D’Souza, Franky Cutinha, Maurice D’Souza, Basil D’Souza, John D’Souza, Alwyn Kotian, Roshan Ferrao and Mary Dias
