Udupi, Nov 27: Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat met union ministers in New Delhi on November 26 in connection with sand mining.
The MLA met union minister D V Sadananda Gowda and held a meeting through him with joint secretary of forests and environment Rithesh Kumar Singh and secretary Hardik Shah. He is likely to release a statement in this respect by tomorrow.
The meeting was in continuation of the meeting of all the MLAs of the district to explain to the state government of vacating sand mounds in CRZ limits.
