Kundapur: Holy Rosary Church prepares for annual feast

Kundapur, Nov 27: Holy Rosary Church, one of the ancient churches in Udupi, devoted to Holy Rosary Mother here held devotion known as Kompricho Aithar to the holy sacrament on Sunday as a prelude to its annual feast. After the mass, a procession went out on Kundapur main road holding coloured wax candles to the accompaniment of hymns, music, band, colored umbrellas with the church choir.

A special devotion was held later at St Mary’s institute grounds. Gangolli church parish priest Fr Albert Crasta delivered a message to live in peace and love and gave the blessing of Jesus in the holy Communion.







Kundapur Rosary Mother parish priest Fr Stany Tauro who was in charge of the entire programme thanked everybody. Assistant parish priest Fr Roy Lobo explained the importance of the day where the festival of Christ the King was being celebrated. St Mary’s Junior College principal Fr Pravin Amruth Martis assisted.

Several nuns, pastoral council vice president, secretary, ward gurkars, programme sponsor Clotilda D’Silva and family members, office bearers of local groups and associations and thousands of devotees took part.
