Mangaluru: A man killed his friend after a quarrel in an inebriated state at the Skyblue site at Souhardayuta Nagar under

Kolambe village limits of Bajpe on the outskirts of the city.

The accused was arrested by the police on Wednesday, November 28.

Both the accused and the deceased are of Orissa origin. Bajpe police have produced the accused to the court. Eshwar

Pradhan (24) is the deceased and Mithun Pradhan (23) is the one who murdered his friend Eshwar.

Mithun and Eshwar were friends and they worked together in the Skyblue site. On Tuesday, November 27, both of them had consmed liquor in a nearby bar. When they returned to the shed in the night a quarrel broke out between them. Other workers in the site failed in pacifying them.

Mithun who was furious during the heated argument, lifted a red stone that is used to build the wall and put the same on his friend. Eshwar died on the spot. On the morning of Wednesday, November 28, Siddaiah Aralapura, a local, brought the incident to the police. Police who promptly registered a case searched for the murderer.

Mithun was arrested from a nearby area of Suratkal railway station.
