Kundapura, Nov 29: Byndoor MLA B M Sukumar Shetty said that he would protest if the officials continue to show disrespect to the people's representatives.
Speaking at a KDP meeting at Kundapur taluk panchayath, Shetty said, "The Byndoor PSI had pushed some of the members of zilla panchayath recently. It is condemnable. This is not British-raj. We have a democracy and the officials must give respect to the representatives."
To this DySP Dinesh Kumar said that Suresh who was allegedly pushed by the officer had not filed any written complaint. "If they lodge complaint in this regard we will take action," he said.
During the meeting, MLA also directed the tahshildar to provide title deeds to the beneficiaries. Also MLA discussed about issues related to agricultural department during the meeting.
