Mumbai: International Peace University awards doctorate to Mohan Rai

Mumbai, Dec 7: Karnooru Mohan Rai who became popular with his service to art and organizations relating to art during the last three decades has been awarded honorary doctorate by International Peace University, Germany.

The doctorate was presented to him at a programme held at Dubai grand excelsior hotel auditorium recently by global accreditation council Germany director Christian Brillingar, Middle east London’s Dr William Basling, Dr Garry D La Pomera Finland, Dr Micco Castico, former CBI director Dr V N Saigal and several other dignitaries.



Karnooru Mohan Rai organized several programmes in India and abroad and provided shelter to Tulu and Kannada artistes. He organized Tulu dramas, films and Yakshagana programmes in Mumbai and Gulf countries and supported them. Fans of Rai recognized his service to art and honored him in a unique ‘Ranga Mohan 25’ programme.
