    Make statue from your BJP funds and not in tax payers money...
    If this was given to a poor or Middle class person he would have made his/her daughters marriage or built an house. In Mumbai it self there are several slum area... you would made richer at least for some time by providing them a house and education.

    BJP is full of lies and corrupted party.... Bjp should never come to power in central as they ruined tax moneys money...

    India's total population is 125 Cr, if you give each 25 crores the total amount will reach 3.125 cr. rather spending 3643.78 on statues India can be a better place when all its citizens are crorepatis. Regarding tourism, India has plenty of tourism spots but infrastructure is pathetic, let's improve the infrastructure of current tourist spots. other than bhakths nobody is interested in these gigantic statues. if they could have built worlds tallest tower which can give revenue and tourist spot together like petronas tower, burj khalifa etc. could have value for money.

    @Charan,

    There is no history of a statue generating a considerable revenues from tourism. May be some Pakoda and Chai stalls come up that will feed some local tourists.

    This is the atmost limit to the vision of your Sreeman Chaiwala ji. He cannot think beyond that.
