Mumbai: Railway Yatri Sangha submits appeal to Konkan railway corporation

Mumbai, Dec 27: Railway Yatri Sangha Borivli delegation visited Konkan Bhavan, Belapur and submitted a list of appeals to the Konkan Railway Corporation Limited managing director Sanjay Gupta requesting him to take suitable action.

Yatri Sangha honorary president Shanker B Shetty Virar, president Shimanthoor Udaya Shetty, vice president Premanath P Kotian, joint secretary Ranjith M Suvarna, Jaya A Shetty, KRCL PRO Girish Karandekar were present.

The delegation requested to increase the speed of Mangalore Express and Matsyagandha train using latest technology, prevent thefts and robberies in trains on these routes installing CC cameras in sensitive places, ensure that ordinary ticket holders do not travel in reserved bogies at least till Rathnagiri, include a stop for trains at Mulki and install racks for passengers.

Sanjay Gupta after long discussions lasting for one and a half hours assured of quickly implementing the requests. He said that KRCL is bound by safe and pleasant journey to passengers.
