On Dhirubhai Ambani's birth anniversary, Mumbai Metro launches Loyalty Program


Mumbai, Dec 27 (IANS): Commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary industrialist, the late Dhirubhai H. Ambani tomorrow, Reliance Infrastructure on Thursday announced a first-of-its-kind Loyalty Program for Mumbai Metro commuters, an official said.

Under the Loyalty Program, through Metro Rewards, Mumbai Metro will provide offers with value equal to or higher than what the customer spends on metro tickets and availing them would ensure the metro ride is effectively at zero cost for every card customer.

Every customer, who enrolls through the Mumbai Metro website, would earn 1 point per 10 km commute and those who earn 10 points after the launch, will earn an accident insurance policy worth Rs 4.50 lakh valid for one year.

This offer will be valid for one month, till January 26, enabling virtually every Mumbai Metro customer to get a complimentary insurance cover if they register in the launch month itself, said a spokesperson for Mumbai Metro One Pvt. Ltd. (MMOPL).

With many brands coming on board for Metro Rewards, the customers can redeem these Loyalty Program points against restaurants, clothing, grocery, white goods, gadgets, salons, gift shops, opticians, etc.

The Metro Rewards Loyalty Program will be launched in three tiers - Silver, Gold and Platinum Members, with an upgrade to the next level increasing the benefits at each level.

AThe Loyalty Program has been introduced for Mumbai Metro customers after researching leading similar programs in India and international metros, said the spokesperson.
