Mumbai, Mar 13 (Agencies): Less than 24 hours after, Maharashtra Leader of Opposition Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil’s son Sujay Vikhe Patil joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Mumbai, the double shocker comes to Rahul Gandhi led Congress party in form of senior party MLA Kalidas Kolambkar is reportedly set to jump ships and join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The 7-time Congress MLA, who currently represents Wadala constituency in Mumbai, has made his intentions clear that he was planning to join the ruling party in the state, according to the national TV channels.

Meanwhile, speculations were rife that Kolambkar was also set to join the BJP after banners featuring CM Fadnavis’ image were put up at his Dadar office, which is bang opposite to Congress’ Tilak Bhavan office. Kolambkar reportedly has said that he found the chief minister “very approachable” who had fulfilled the demands of his constituency.
“I don’t want to remain in the Congress anymore. Mr Fadnavis possesses strong will power for the development of the state,” The Asian Age quoted Kolambkar as saying. The daily also reported that the disgruntled Congress leader is likely to get a BJP ticket from the Wadala constituency for the upcoming Vidhan Sabha polls.
Kolambkar is said to be a close aide of former CM Narayan Rane, who quit the party to form his own political party. Both Kolambkar and Rane had defected from Shiv Sena to Congress in 2005.
