Mumbai, Apr 2: Padaveedhara Yakshagana Samiti and Kannada groups and associations of Navi Mumbai held a seminar on Yakshagana at Vashi on Sunday evening.
Navi Mumbai Kannada Sangha president B H Katty presided over the programme.
Sahana Bharadhwaj, Dr Surendra Kumar Hegde, Y V Madhusoodan Rao, S K Sunder, S Daya, Nithyananda Kotian, Bylur Balachandra Rao, M B Kukyan, Somanatha Karkera, Karunaker N Shetty, Durgappa Kotyavar and others were present.
Bhagavat Jayaprakash Niduvannaya, Vasudev Marnad, Ramesh Birthi and H B Rao gave information on various acts of Yakshagana.
A Satyanarayana puja was also held on the occasion. Dinesh Chadaga conducted the pujas and distributed theertha prasada. Navi Mumbai Kannada Sangha secretary Sujatha Rao welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.
Jagadish N Rai proposed the vote of thanks.
