Bengaluru, Apr 8: Former Chief Minister and the ruling Congress-JD(S) coalition regime’s coordination panel chairman Siddaramaiah has dubbed the BJP poll manifesto as “nothing but a bundle of lies.”

The Congress leader said the BJP manifesto has no mention of contributions made by the NDA government during its five year rule under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Obviously, the BJP has nothing to inform the people about the Modi regime’s achievements over the last five years," he said.

Siddaramaiah attacked BJP over its ‘SankalpPatra,’ and tweeted: “Jhumla gang of @BJP4India have taken little efforts to prepare their new manifesto. It is just a rephrased copy of their old one. This is a sign of failure of @narendramodi to deliver as promised in 2014.”

KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao tweeted: “No focus on specific programs & the same rehash of # Ram Mandir, Art 370, UCC,Women’s reservation etc.”

Rao flayed the BJP manifesto and said issues such as abrogation article 370, introduction of uniform civil code, and construction of Ram temple have been repeated

"Why the Modi government had not built Ram Madir during its five year rule? What's Modi government’s performance on the job front? It was dismal. Its track record on curbing corruption and bringing back black money was poor," Rao alleged.

Meanwhile, KPCC election campaign committee chairman H K Patil alleged that democracy has taken a beating under the Modi government and people were living under a fear psychosis and it was not good for democracy.

It was not proper on the part of the BJP to seek votes on Pulwama terror attack and its retaliation by Indian armed forces. During the Congress regime, the country had won Indo-Pak war in 1971 and but it had never sought votes battle win by the armed forces, the Congress leader said.

Speaking at the meet-the-press organised by the Press Club of Bangalore and Bangalore Reporters’ Guild, Patil said BJP was seeking votes on emotional issues and not bringing up the problems faced by common people and this was very bad development.
