Prof Leo Lobo, native of Mangaluru, first Indian finalist of ANLP awards

Media Release

Mangaluru, May 30: Resident of Bengaluru, Prof Leo Lobo, who is a native of Bajal in the city of Mangaluru was one of the finalists of Association of Neuro Linguistics Programming (ANLP) awards ceremony held in London on May 18.

Prof Leo Lobo is the first Indian to be chosen by the International body of Association of Neuro linguistics programming as one of the finalists for the award.

The finalists are chosen by the International body for the work they do in different fields like education, health and community service. He was chosen for his tremendous work done using Neuro Linguistics Programming (NLP) in the field of education with teachers and students.

Leo is a physics professor and since learning NLP in 1991 has brought its magic into his daily life. This has had a profound impact on his students as they noticed how he had changed and wanted to learn NLP. Which began with Leo conducting a few NLP workshops for his students, quickly evolved into supporting students and teachers across wider educational institutions.

Till date some 30,000 teachers in Karnataka and rest of India have trained with Leo and his team, which has in turn helped the students to become seekers of knowledge with proactive attitudes. This transformation is having far-reaching impacts as evidenced in the feedback from various schools. In his feedback a principal of an institution said, "Thanks to Leo’s training, our teachers have been transformed into effective and motivating teachers. This will benefit our students and the society at large."

The award was won by Rita Alleluia of Portugal.
