Mangalore: Three Die in Equal Number of Accidents in Twin Districts

Mangalore, May 20: Sadashiv Devadiga (48), a daily wager from Thekkatte Anibettu in Kundapur taluk, succumbed to the injuries he sustained in a accident on Monday April 18. He had been injured after a motor bike hit him on Monday near Sasthan bus stop on national highway 17. Both the bike rider Sukesh and pillion rider Vinay Kumar too were injured in the accident and are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

A person named Linganna Gowda (60) from Bagalkot district, who had migrated to do work in construction industry a few days back, was hit by a service bus while crossing the road near KSRTC bus stand in the city at around 8.30 pm on Monday May 18. He died in the hospital on Tuesday. The driver of the bus that hit him had admitted him into the hospital. A case has been registered in Barke police station in city in this regard.

After a Qualis vehicle hit the scooter in which he was travelling on the by pass road in Puttur on Tuesday May 19, Roshan Ratan D'Souza (26) from Vittal Seraje, sustained serious injuries and died while being moved to a hospital. A case was registered at Puttur town police station in this regard.
