SCAF Convention 2026 to bring together young change-makers in Hunsur, Mysuru

Mysuru, Oct 5: The Ursuline Franciscan Educational Society (UFES) is set to organize the Social Change Agents’ Forum (SCAF) Convention 2026 from 9 to 11 October 2026 at St Joseph Institutions, Hunsur, Mysuru, Karnataka, bringing together empowered adolescents from 29 Schools of Ursuline Franciscan Educational Institutions across Karnataka to reflect, learn and explore practical ways of contributing to positive social change.

The three-day convention is being held under the theme “Drive the Change; Build the Future.”

SCAF is an initiative under the Mother Nympha Adolescent Empowerment Programme (AEP) of the Ursuline Franciscan Educational Society, to promote the goal of “Adolescents for social change.”AEP seeks to support adolescents as they navigate physical, emotional, cognitive and social changes and encourages them to grow as confident, responsible and value-driven individuals.
The SCAF provides a platform for these young people to move from learning to action by identifying social concerns, taking initiative and becoming active agents of positive change.

During the convention, participants will have opportunities to share experiences, discuss social concerns, participate in group activities and interact with inspiring young people. The sessions are expected to provide new perspectives and deepen the participants’ understanding of their role in addressing issues affecting society.

The initiative reflects the Ursuline Franciscan commitment to adolescent formation that goes beyond academic education, encouraging young people to become responsible citizens and contributors to society.
