Mangaluru: Apostolic Carmel Educational Society honours retired staff

Mangaluru, Aug 11: The retired staff of the various institutions of the Apostolic Carmel Educational Society, Karnataka, were felicitated on Saturday, August 10.

The retired staff’s faces beamed with contentment and gratitude as they walked on to the dais to take their seats of honour along with Sr Maria Shamita A C, the provincial superior and the vice president of the Apostolic Carmel Educational Society, Karnataka and Sr Ida Barboza AC, the educational secretary at the Provincial House, St Ann’s Convent, Mangaluru. 

The felicitation commenced with a prayer service led by the staff and students of St Ann’s High School. The provincial superior and educational secretary honoured the retired staff. The provincial superior in her address, acknowledged with gratitude and appreciation the dedicated service, loyalty and the sincere effort of the retired staff in moulding the students, the future citizens of the nation and wished them a happy and peaceful retired life.

Dr Geralyn Pinto expressed the sentiments of gratitude on behalf of the retired staff. Sr Maria Shubha A C welcomed the gathering, while Sr Sahaya Mary A C rendered the vote of thanks and Sr Roopa Rodrigues A C compered the programme.
