Udupi, Aug 12: Dr Iqbal Thonse received prestigious three International awards. Most Dedicated Professor Award, Fabulous Global Education Leader Award in the World Education Congress held at Taj Lands End Hotel, Bandra, Mumbai, and Distinguished Scientist in Finance Award for the Contribution and Achievement in the Field of Finance in the Venus Advanced Research & Design Meet held at Chennai.
He is a professor of Finance with 22 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level in India and Bahrain. He is the former dean of College of Business Administration and present director of Accreditation and Quality Assurance Centre at Kingdom University Bahrain. He published more than 45 research papers in the Web of Science, SCOPUS, ABDC and other reputed indexed journals. He also published a book title “Efficiency of Stock Market: A Study of Stock Price Responses to Earnings Announcements” (ISBN: 978-3-8465-2115-1) published by LAP Lambert Academic
Publishing Company, Germany.
As a resource person, he conducted more than 35 workshops on quality assurance, programme reviews, internal audit, research methodology, employability skill and learning and teaching strategies. He is active in the ResearchGate and has more than 1,00,000 reads. He attended more than 100 workshops, conferences, seminars and symposiums. He presented research papers in many international and national conferences and seminars.
He is an associate editor, advisory board member and reviewer for several reputable indexed refereed journals including journals publishing by Springer, Emerald and Inderscience. He was the member of paper submission review committee of ‘World Finance and Banking Symposium 2013 to 2018’ and other reputed international conferences and seminars. He got Best Research Paper Award, Kingdom University President's Award for Excellence in Research Publications, Outstanding Academic Staff of the Year award and Best teacher of the year award.
He is from a village called Hoode in Udupi Taluk and alumni of Government Urdu School, Hoode, Hindu Higher Primary School, Kemmannu, Government High School, Kemmannu, Milagres College, Kallianpur and Mangalore University.
