Islamabad, Jun 24: Pakistan Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh's review petition challenging his death sentence.

Sarabjit was an accused in the1990 Lahore serial blasts case. Pakistani authorities had accused Sarabjit of spying for Indian agencies.

Sarabjit was to be hanged on April 1, 2008, but authorities put off his execution indefinitely after Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani intervened. His execution was initially deferred for 30 days by former president Pervez Musharraf.

Sarabjit's family has been claiming that he was innocent saying he strayed into Pakistani territory in a drunken state in 1990.
