Gold futures rise Rs 190 to Rs 1.52 lac per 10 grams

New Delhi, Sep 9: Gold prices rose by Rs 190 to Rs 1.52 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade on Wednesday, supported by fresh buying and firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the gold contract for October delivery advanced Rs 190, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 1,52,769 per 10 grams. The contract recorded a business turnover of 635 lots.

Market analysts attributed the rise to fresh positions created by participants amid firm demand in the spot market.

In international markets, gold futures climbed 0.65 per cent to USD 4,384.16 per ounce in New York.
