Bellary, Jul 18: The feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was celebrated with all solemnity at the Infant Jesus Church, Hoovinahadali, on Thursday July 16.
It serves as a mission station of discalced Carmelites of the Karnataka-Goa province and began in 1998. The festal Eucharistic Mass was presided over by Kudligi parish priest Fr Maxim Dias, and concelebrated by 10 other clergies.
The Infant Jesus church here has 15 families served by parish priest Fr Cyprian Fernandes. The devotees from a wide section of society attended the festal celebration. All were served a sumptuous meal on the occasion.
