Udupi: Thieves Decamp with Ornaments worth Rs 1.20 Lac from Kaup House

Udupi, Jul 20: The thieves, who entered the house of Amir Adam Saheb in Kombagudde near Kaup in the district by bending the rods of the first floor window, took away gold ornaments worth around Rs 1.20 lac. The incident occurred when the owner was away on a visit to his relative's house in Mangalore.

The theft came to light after Amir returned home on Saturday night.  Kaup police have registered a case and its station house officer Joy Antony is investigating. Finger print experts and sniffer dogs were deployed in an effort to trace the culprits.
