San Francisco, Oct 10 (IANS): A shooting that killed two people outside a German synagogue during one of the most important Jewish holidays was livestreamed for 35 minutes on Amazon's subsidiary Twitch.
In the video that lasted for roughly 35 minutes, the suspect was seen shooting two people and attempting unsuccessfully to break into the synagogue.
"We are shocked and saddened by the tragedy that took place in Germany today, and our deepest condolences go out to all those affected. Twitch has a zero-tolerance policy against hateful conduct, and any act of violence is taken extremely seriously.
"We are working with urgency to remove this content and permanently suspend any accounts found to be posting or reposting content of this abhorrent act," CNET quoted a Twitch spokesperson as saying on Wednesday.
The video been removed from Twitch but it was uploaded to several video sites.
Two people have been confirmed dead in the attack and German law enforcement has raised the possibility that multiple attackers were involved. Only one perpetrator appears in this video, according to The Verge.
