Ryan International Group of Schools hosts Indian model United Nations conference

Mumbai, Oct 14: As many as 1,200 delegates from across the country came together to shed light on some of the most relevant global issues like politics, economics, international affairs and more, at the Indian Model United Nations (INMUN) conference hosted by the Ryan International Group at New Delhi from September 26 to 28.

Students were provided an enriching experience where they represented members of the United Nations to address pressing global issues. The event was graced by honorable guests speakers such as Umesh Kumar Sookmanee (Mauritius High Commission), Dr V P Joy IAS, (DG - Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas), Upendra Singh Rawat IFS, (Ministry of External Affairs), Retd. Lt Gen V K Chaturvedi, Retd Lt Gen P S Bhalla, Rear Admiral M D Suresh, Rina Sharma (Principal Scientist at CSIR-NPL), Lata Varghese (NLP Coach and Practioner), Prof Harish Chaudhary (IIT), Padmavati Dwivedi (Social Activist), and Dr Astha Ahuja (assitant professor Economics, Aryabhatta College) among others who encouraged the delegates to bring positive change and become ‘World Leaders’ of tomorrow.



Speaking at the 18th INMUN conference, Dr Grace Pinto, MD, Ryan Group said, “We are grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ for enabling us provide this platform for our students that offers an excellent platform for students from diverse backgrounds to interact with one another and exchange ideas on global issues. Such an interaction equips them with knowledge and confidence which will eventually go a long way in shaping their careers. We believe that through this conference the delegates have emerged self-confident to build tolerance, accountability and strength as young leaders of tomorrow. We will continue our efforts to provide quality education to develop lifelong learners.”

Indian Model United Nations is one of the major initiatives at the international level pioneered by founder-chairman, Dr A F Pinto of the Ryan International Group. It is India´s longest running MUN since year 2001 and has grown with increasing numbers year after year with participation from national and international delegates from South Asian Countries annually.
