Mangalore: City Chapter of All India Milli Council Holds Debut Seminar at Town Hall

Mangalore, Jul 30: The Dakshina Kannada district unit of the All India Milli Council organized a seminar to introduce the city chapter of the council to community brethren at the Town Hall here from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm on Thursday July 30.  

The Dakshina Kannada unit of the All India Milli Council was set up in the city, recently. 

All India Milli Council vice-president Hazrath Moulana Mufti Mohammed Ashraf Ali Baqvi presided over the programme.

Council general secretary Dr Mohammed Manzur Alam in his keynote address sought the community to express their opinions and convey the issues that needed to be redressed at both the state and union levels. 























Council secretary Hazrath Moulana Shah Qadri Syed Mustafa Rifai Jeelani Nadvi, the Council’s Karnataka chapter general secretary Sulaiman Khan, MLA U T Khader, the Council’s Karnataka chapter member Ubaidulla Shariff, and New Delhi All India Milli Council member Manzur Ahmed Rasheed were the chief guests on the occasion.

The Council’s DK district unit president and former MLC Al Haj K S Mohammed Masoud, DK unit reception committee chairman Al Haj S M Rasheed, general secretary Ibrahim Kodijal, All India Milli Council Karnataka vice-president Moulana Mufti Mohammed Ashraf Ali Bangalore, and reception committee general secretary Al Haz Haq Assadi were also present on the dais.

The All India Milli Council was founded by the late Hazrath Moulana Sayyed Abul Hassan Ali Nadvi in New Delhi in 1992.  It serves as a platform to bring different segments of Muslim community under one umbrella.  

It aims to bring the Muslim community within the parameter of the Indian constitution for the development of our country by co-ordinating with like-minded secular organizations; working for the upliftment of the community in all fields, such as education, cultural activities, social strata, etc.  

It also tries to protect the interest of its community members by ensuring proper representation of its problems at the state and central-level. 

Al Haj K S Mohammed Masoud welcomed the gathering.  Ibrahim Kodijal proposed the vote of thanks.  Al-Haj Masood compered the programme.
