Murdeshwar: Three Engineering Students Drown in Sea

Udupi, AUg 1 (DHNS): Three engineering students drowned to death at Murdeshwar on Friday. 

The deceased are Anand Basavaraj Avadhani (21), Sajanil Dilipkumar Mahendrakar (20) and Mahesh Jagannath Kanaji (22). They were studying in KBN Engineering College, Gulbarga.

In all, six students arrived at Murdeshwar by a Sumo vehicle around 5 pm on Friday.

Three of them, who went for swimming, got washed away. Others screamed for help. The local fishermen rushed to the spot with boats and searched for the bodies till 8 pm. However, they could not trace the bodies, police sources said. PSI S I Bhajantri has registered a case.
