Mangalore: Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy invites Entries for Competitions

Mangalore, Aug 5: Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy wants to organize literary competitions in Beary language, with the purpose of giving impetus to this language. Stories, poems and articles are invited for participation in these competitions.

To be eligible for consideration, the stories in Beary language  being sent for the competitions, should not be over six pages in white sheets, while the articles (on any subject) should not exceed four pages. The poems should be of not more than a page.

All the entries should have been created by the author. Translated items will not be considered. Even a single person can register his entries in all the three categories. A separate sheet containing the name, address and telephone number of the author should be enclosed to each entry.

There will be first, second and third prizes in all the categories. The entries that get selected for the awards, will be published through the quarterly publication of the Academy. September 27, 2009, will be the last day for the receipt of the entries at the Academy office.
