Mangalore: Mandd Sobhann and Barsons Organize 3-Day Workshop in Music

Mangalore, Aug 5: Mandd Sobhann, a city based Konkani organization striving to promote Konkani world-wide and Barsons Multi-Media Studios, jointly organized a three-day residential workshop in music recently, at Kalangann, Shaktinagar, here.

Barsons Multi-Media Studios proprietor Capt D’Mas presented the certificates to the participants. 


 

Sangeet Guru Joel Pereira offered condolences for the sad demise of top Konkani music composer Bhaskar Chandavarkar.

Roshan D’Souza, Harriet Braganza, Joyce Ozario, Mandd Sobhan president Louie Pinto, Gurkar Eric Ozario and organizer Stany Alvares, paid tributes by garlanding the portrait of the Bhaskar Chandavarkar.

Capt D’Mas released the VCD of Soad – 2 top ten, a collection of hits sung by singers during the talent contest. 

Forty youths from the entire diocese took part in the residential workshop in music. 

Heral Pinto compered the programme.  Jason Sequeira briefed on the training programme conducted. 

‘Aab-les’, Konkani comedy play, by playwright Rony Crasta Kelarai, directed by John Permannur, was staged as the programme of the monthly theatre, at Kalangann, here after the stage programme.
