Moodbidri, Aug 27: A man who used to threaten his family members regularly by threatening to give up his life by jumping into a well, finally jumped into a well. However, immediately thereafter, he started requesting the people to save his life.

Timmappa Moily (40) from Paplady near here, jumped into the well but did not die. He is a habitual drunkard and as usual, fought with other family members and said that he would jump into well. After pacifying him, the people got busy with their duties and did not care, when he repeated his threat. Feeling uncared for, Moily jumped into the well.

But once he reached the depths of the well, he caught hold of a stone on the wall of the well and started requested himself to be rescued. He was rescued with the help of the Fire Brigade. He was later admitted into Shirtady government hospital, as he suffered from bout of epilepsy while being rescued.
