Miscreants Assault Man in Mangalore

Mangalore, Aug 28 (DHNS) : A person was assaulted near Central Market in the city at around 10 pm on Thursday. 

Injured has been identified as Jayarama Achari, an employee of a jewellery shop in the city. Miscreants had assaulted Achari on his head using a knife while he was walking near Ramakanthi Theatre. Later miscreants managed  to flee from the scene.






Achari, who was injured seriously, was taken to a private hospital. Superintendent of Police Dr A Subramanyeshwar Rao told that the reason for the attack is yet to be traced. He said police will take necessary action to nab the culprits

    I agree with Mr. Jivan, it is nothing but tit for tat - revenge for what happened in other similar incidents. Under any circumstances the culprits should be caught and due punishment be given. Police should act fast impartially.

    These incidents are more petty then communal. i think this is more a revenge crime than to start communal violence

    Vishwa, mangalore/usa. you are right. very disgusting to see that such incidents happen in our home town. you can see the back bone of these incidents are politicians, you can see the present hero, past it was nagaraj shetty and his party. It is only happening in mangalore. think if it happens like this all over India. God save mangalore.

    Very sad to see the sad state of mangalore. recently I had been to mangalore and found that 7 stabbing in 4 days. It was never before like this. We all have become so selfish in the name of caste, religion, place that that we have spoilled our city.
