Mangalore, Aug 29: Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat (ZP) K Santhosh Kumar Bhandary after being elected as the ZP chief after his rebellion from the Congress has been expelled from the party by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee.

Speaking to media persons on Friday August 28, District Congress Committee president B Ramanath Rai said that another member Sadanand Malli too has been suspended from the party for voting against party whip during the ZP election.

Santosh Kumar Bhandary had once won the ZP election with a Congress ticket. He then had resigned and joined the BJP. Bhandary chose to return to the Congress fold later, and was offered the party ticket gain, in spite of bitter opposition from many Congressmen. He become a ZP member for the second time, as the party trusted him and did him a favour, but Bhandary has rebelled once again and thus has been expelled from the party.

This Bhandary should not be allowed to wander anywhere near Congress! Money & Power matter makes him jump! He has no idea about the present BJP situation. He should read atleast a national daily once in a while. Local daily is still busy glorifying BJP!! These are all dwarf characters in front of Ramananda Rai, who stands tall!
