Udupi, Aug 30: Udupi Press Photographers Association (UPPA), with the chief sponsorship of Paryaya Sri Puttige Mutt here, will be organizing a state level photography contest, for the enthusiastic photographers, who have the skills to creatively click beautiful photographs of Srikrishna Janmashtami and Srikrishna Leelotsava celebrations scheduled to be held here on September 11 and 12.

The best photograph selected in the competition will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 6,666, while the second and third-placed photographs will get Rs 4,444 and Rs 3,333 respectively. In addition, the selected best 10 entries received in the competition will be issued certificates and mementoes. The winning photographs and the ten specially selected photographs will be displayed on the day of prize distribution, UPPA informed.

Conditions: The photographs should have been taken on the above days only. Whenever found necessary, suitable evidences may have to be produced. The photographs should be of the minimum size of 12x18 and maximum size of 18x12. The photographs should have been printed with matt finish and the printing should not be on metallic paper.

On the backside of the photographs entered into the competition, name, address, telephone number, e-mail details etc., should be clearly written with permanent marker pen. Each contestant can enter four photographs for consideration. All the photographs meant to be considered for the competition, should be sent to M/s Laxmi Lamination, Badagupet, Udupi - 576 101, to reach before September 22. The members of UPPA can not take part in the competition. However, they will take part in the photo exhibition.
