Mumbai: Narayana Uchilkar passes away

Mumbai, Dec 2: Narayan Uchilkar(81) hailing from Uchil, Someshwar, Dakshina Kannada district passed away on December 1 due to an illness at Carvalho Nagar, Thane west.

He was active and had shouldered responsibilities in Tayinudi Balaga, Bovi Youngmen’s Association and others. He was a literary and yakshagana critic, Yakshagana fan and social worker. He had supported the PhD degree of teacher Dr Vani Uchilkar.

He has left behind his wife, Dr Vani Uchilkar, two sons and a large number of friends and relatives. His last rites were performed on Sunday afternoon at Thane west crematorium.
