Mumbai, Dec 19: On Tuesday, a 44-year-old Vasai woman assaulted two policewomen by biting and clawing them. The woman a day before had filed a case of assault against her husband. Once the case was filed she followed her husband to the Manickpur police station. However, the police accused the woman of hurling abuses at her husband, Showmik.

Senior Rajendra Kamble called the woman 'uncontrollable'. When the woman was stopped by women cops, the accused slapped them. He said though they assured her that Shoumik has been arrested and will be produced in court on Wednesday, she created havoc in the police station.

On Monday, Parmita Deshmukh filed an assault case against Shoumik, who works at a private firm. He was produced in court and released on bail.
