Mumbai, Dec 27: In an increasing trend of assault on railway staff, a lady ticket checker at Ambernath railway station was allegedly assaulted by a ticketless woman passenger here. It is a third such incident to have occurred in the course of two days.
The passenger identified as Neral resident Minal Ghule assaulted ticket checker Namrata Shengde when asked to show her ticket. The passenger was later arrested on the basis of CCTV footage.
