Kundapur: Bajrang Dal Sets Deadline for DySP's Transfer

Daijiworld Media Network - Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Sep 23: The taluk unit of Bajrang Dal, in a press statement, said that it will draw up a plan of protest against the local deputy superintendent of police (DySP), Vishwanath Pandit, if he is not transferred within the next ten days. They alleged that Pandit had registered a false complaint against a Bajrang Dal leader and arrested him.

On Tuesday September 22, activists of the Sangh Parivar and Bajrang Dal laid siege to the office of the DySP here. Udupi district joint convener of Bajrang Dal, Girish, had been arrested by the policemen on Monday night, on the allegation that he had assaulted a man and a lady, who allegedly were about to indulge in immoral activities.

The activists said that no one was assaulted. They said, that based on the information about the unethical activity in which the man and woman were involved with, they had handed them over to the policemen, after conveying this information to them. The two were behaving obscenely in the presence of a large number of people and the leaders of Bajrang Dal had advised the activists to exercise restraint and the policemen, driven with some pre-conceived motives, registered a false complaint against the Dal leader, the agitators claimed.

Pandit said that the complaint was registered and arrest made, on the basis of a complaint filed by a lady sub-inspector, who was at the spot of the incident. The leaders of Bajrang Dal were involved in a heated argument with the police personnel. Sub-inspector Satish Kumar and assistant sub-inspector Subhash provided details of the incident.

Leaders of Rashreeya Swayamsevak Sangh, BJP, Bajrang Dal, Hindu Jagaran Vedike etc., from various parts of the twin-districts took part in the protest.

Good comparison Roshan. Indeed, those who indulge in obscene activities are no less than street / stray dogs. Hence Bajrangdal’s action is justified.

Thankyou DSP Sir, keep it up. teach them such a lesson(for Lawbreakers ) so that they have to remember it for life time. I appreciate your policing.be indiscriminative towards all irrespective of their religion because you have been appointed by Govt. as a DSP to a region, not to a particular religion. if such officers(like Mr. Pandit) would have sent to Dakshina Kannada's all parts then there would not be any riots. I once again thanks to DSP Mr.Vishwanath Pandit.
