Mangalore, Sep 24: A man named Savur Ahmed (25), son of Mohammed Zubair from Bhatkal, was arrested by the policemen from the international airport here on Tuesday September 22, on the charge of flying by using a fake passport.

Ahmed had arrived at the local airport from Dubai through the Air India Express flight, at about 6.30 pm. He was working in a cloth shop in Dubai and had returned before his visa term, by using a fake passport. It has transpired that with the help of an agency, this fake passport was created by pasting his photograph on the passport belonging to a man named Ahmed Ruknuddin.

Ahmed is learnt to have confessed that his passport was in the possession of the shop owner and that he was compelled to use a fake passport, as he had to urgently return to his native place for some reasons.
