Udupi: Devotees Throng to Witness ‘Chandika Yaga’ at Kaup Hosa Marigudi Temple

A ‘Chandika Yaga’ and free food offering to all devotees was held at the Hosa Marigudi Temple, Kaup, here on Tuesday September 22 as part of the ‘Navaratri Utsav’.
 
Chief priest Vedamurti Korangrapady Raghavendra Tantri and Vedamurti Srinivas Tantri Kalya performed the Vedic rituals on the occasion, witnessed by a large number of devotees.


 
The idol of temple deity Mariamma was decorated with flowers on the occasion.  Thousands of devotees participated in the annual auction of saris.  Long queues of devotees were seen winding beside the National Highway 17, to offer prayers to the deity.
