Bantwal: MLA Ramanath Rai Begins Rural Visits Across Constituency

All preparations were in place on Thursday September 24 for former state minister and MLA B Ramanath Rai to begin rural visits.
 
The visits to every village under his legislative assembly constituency are intended to study rural issues, to consult with department officers, and to instruct the officials to take urgent measures in a few extreme cases.


 
ZP member A C Bhandary, TP vice-president Chandrahas Karkera, steering committee president Ida Suresh, gram panchayat president Dulcine, and vice-president Ismail as well as department officers were present when Rai began rural visits here at 10.00 am on Thursday.  The visits continued up to 7.30 pm on Thursday. 
 
The villagers discussed their drinking water woes, power cuts, deplorable roads and other issues with Rai who assured them of setting up a water treatment plant near their villages.  The MLA also discussed various issues such as Anganawady, primary health centres, schools, colleges, and working of various departments with department officers on the occasion. 
 
He visited the villages of Nanandavar Kelaginakote, Kurubara Keri, Kapikadi Kansale, the open well on the banks of Nandavar rivulet, Dasaragudde, Manjalpade, Uddodi, and neighbouring villages on Thursday afternoon. 
 
Addressing media persons Rai said that he aims to visit all the 20 gram panchayats under his assembly constituency within two months.  He said that he intends to undertake firsthand study into various issues faced by the rural masses and make honest efforts in solving the issues.
 
The goal is to cover Narikombu gram panchayat by Wednesday September 30.

    I am sorry he is just now out of slumber. He had to find out the addresses of these 20 gram panchayats since he never visited these panchayats except for Election campaign. Never had time to visit these panchayats since he is a kattar anti hindu. God bless you Mr. Rai in this your new avatar.

    Good start by Mr. Rai to save congress. Let other congress leaders also follow if they want to get more seats in next electon and serve the people better instead of mudslinging.
