Beltangady: Boulders Removed, Vehicular Traffic Resumes in Shiradi Ghat Road

Beltangady, Sep 25: The huge boulders that had rolled down on to the national highway 48 at the Shiradi border of Dakshina Kannada district on Wednesday were removed on Thursday September 24.

The vehicular traffic was suspended from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, triggering blasts to remove these rocks. The department said that a few more boulders continue to be precariously positioned on the hillocks and that they will be removed through a separate operation within a few days.
