Mangalore: Principal of Local College Dies in Accident

Mangalore, Nov 6: Prof A C Sanjeeva (68), principal of Sarojini Madhusudhan Kushe Degree College in the city, passed away due to a road accident on Thursday November 5.

Sanjeeva was coming on his scooter, when his vehicle skidded, and his head hit the road divider with force on Wednesday November 4 afternoon, near the University College. He was immediately admitted into Wenlock Hospital, but lost his life on Thursday.

He used to stay near Kadri temple. He had joined this college, after retiring as a lecturer of the political science department in St Aloysius College here.He had earlier functioned as the managing director of Cheerumba Bhagawati Cooperative Bank here, and is survived by wife and a son.

    Its very sad news. He was our Principal in Badria First Grade College in year 2000. He was very gentle person. My deepest condelance to his family.

    Mr Sanjeeva taught me social studies at St Aloysius College. I remember him as a humane teacher, who was willing to step outside the textbooks to inspire his students. Although I lost touch with him after I left high school, I always held him in high regard. My deepest sympathies to members of his family.
