Mumbai: Kannadiga Kalavidara Parishat hosts Samskratika Kalamahotsava 2020

Mumbai, March 16: Kannadiga Kalavidara Parishat in the cooperation of Karnataka government, Kannada and culture department celebrated Samskratika Kalamahotsava 2020, a cultural arts festival at Billava Bhavan, Santacruz east on Saturday afternoon, March 14. Well known astrologer Ashok Purohit inaugurated the programme.

Parishat president Dr Suresh Kumar Hegde presided. Billavara association Mumbai president Chandrashekar S Poojary, guest of honor, author Dr Sunita M Shetty, Yakshamasa Mumbai president Shekar R Shetty, artiste and arts sponsor Sathish Shetty Kotrapadi were present.

Ladies wing president Tara Bangera sang a prayer. Vice president Kamalaksha G Saraf welcomed and gave an introduction. Vice president Arvind Shetty Kojakoli, joint secretary Chandravathi Devadiga, joint treasurer Navin Shetty Innabalike, former secretary Raju Sriyan Navunda on the dais honored the guests. Dr Karnoor Mohan Rai introduced the guests and conducted hall programme. Honorary chief treasurer P B Chandrahas rendered vote of thanks.

Cultural programme sponsored by Dr R K Shetty were held. Shradda Bangera sang prayers under the direction of Shekar Sasihitlu. Various arts groups in Mumbai performed Nrathya Sangama and Gana Sangama. Parishat members and artistes presented Kunita Bhajans, cultural talamaddale and Sudhanva Moksha Yakshagana talamaddale. Honorary chief secretary Babaprasad Arasa presented cultural programme.
