Mangalore, Nov 30: Fr G W Vaz, parish priest of Mother Theresa parish, Paldane, here, inaugurated their annual inter-ward sports meet on Sunday November 29 morning.
Speaking on the occasion, Fr Vaz said that the annual sports meet brings the parishioners closer to each other. The participation of each parishioner, regardless of age and presence of elders in the annual sports meet, promotes brotherhood and harmonious living in the society, he said.
Mother Theresa’s parish council vice-president William Fernandes, secretary Anil Monteiro, council members and parishioners were present.
The sports meet began with volleyball tournament, while Praveen, physical training instructor of St Raymond’s High School, Vamanjoor here served as an umpire.
