Mangalore: “Prevention Better Than Cure” is Message to MVSIT Students Ahead of AIDS Day

Mangalore, Dec 2: T S Thomas, director, Link De-addiction and Counseling Centre, said “Prevention is better than cure”, in his address to first semester engineering students at Dr M V Shetty Institute of Technology, Thodar, on Monday November 30, the eve of ‘AIDS  Day’.

He requested students to stay away from tobacco, drugs, and alcohol.



Another guest, Karol D’Souza, speaking on AIDS awareness, said that prevention is the only cure and HIV-affected persons should be treated affectionately.

Dr Sandeep Nayak, principal, Dr Prakash Karat, and Shashi Prasad were present.

Shaheer Mon welcomed while Shreya compered and Jayaprakash Pinto proposed the vote of thanks.

Students participated in the discussions held after the talk, in which delegates from Norway also participated.
